Jaipur. Story telling has been richly embedded in our Indian culture, generations after generations, therefore, Indian Society for the Promotion of English Language and Literature (iSPELL India) organized its 103rd Sahityik Satsang entitled ‘75 Years of Story Telling” with award winning author and India’s best literary juggler Himanshu Rai as the keynote speaker.
As Event Coordinator and moderator, Dr. Shalini Yadav, Professor of English, Compucom Institute of Technology and Management, Jaipur, Rajasthan, amiably welcomed well-regarded author, chairperson of the day, and distinguished literarians. Further she introduced Himanshu Rai to the audience, the eminent Author of various best selling books including You are Still the One, My Mute Girlfriend, I am Always Here With You, Rhythm Roger series and She Erased Her.
The key speaker Himanshu Rai deliberated upon the topic meticulously bringing into notice unnoticeable aspects of story telling. Rai elaborated about commercialization of art of story telling and how to compete with overpowering OTT platforms by writing on contemporary themes alluring youth.
Advancing the session, a few questions were being taken from audience by Dr. Shalini Yadav and Rai enthusiastically and ingeniously replied to each query. The session was extremely amazing and informative with valued insights by Rai.
Proceeding with sequence of ceremonies, giving his exclusive remarks to sum up the session as chairperson, Prof. Ghanshyam, Founder and General Secretary, iSPELL India and Professor of English, Directorate of Higher Education, Raipur, Chhattisgarh honored the guest author Himanshu Rai with certificate and appreciative librettos as a gregarious act of showing gratefulness for productive talk.
Pramod Dhengle, IT Coordinator, iSPELL India and Assistant Professor of English, Dr. T. K Tope College, Mumbai, Maharashtra played an important role in the successful conduction of the event providing all the technical support.
Further Dr. Shalini wholehearted exhibited gratitude towards revered author Himanshu Rai for his gracious presence and insightful deliberation. Further she articulated the lexis of acknowledgment towards noticeable literati fraternity for taking out their precious time to be present.
