ispell India Sunday Sahityik Satsang had a breathtaking session

Jaipur. Indian Society for the Promotion of English Language and Literature (iSPELL India) devoting the month of May to Partition Memory through History and Literature, in its 90th Sunday Sahityik Satsang, had a breathtaking session. Tanvir Mokammel, Film Maker and Author, Bangladesh as eminent keynote speaker discoursed on the forever rousing and tear-jerking topic titled “1947 Partition in Tanvir Mokammel’s Films”. 



Mokammel stressed upon promoting humanity beyond caste, creed, religion and nationality and highlighted about the tragic situation of people at partition time for basic human requirements while migrating from hither to thither. He displayed excellent and heart-rending short video-clips from his films and documentaries based on partition and told how that period left a never-fading impact on brains and sentiments of people, the way people had grieved.

At the onset to set the aura, Dr. Somali Saha, Vice President of Tripura Forum, iSPELL and Assistant Professor of English, Women’s College, Agartala, Tripura greeted the noteworthy assembly of cognoscente as event Coordinator and dexterously progressed the programme presenting the introduction of the master of ceremonies. Dr Subhra Roy, Assistant Professor of English, Netaji Subhash Mahavidyakaya, Udaipur, Tripura admirably proceeded the ceremonials of the event.



Prof. Anupama Vohra, President, iSPELL India and Professor of English, DDE & Convener, Publication Cell, University of Jammu, Jammu meticulously chaired the session adding her valued feedbacks. 

Prof. Ghanshyam, Founder and General Secretary, iSPELL India and Professor of English, Directorate of Higher Education, Raipur, Chhattisgarh gave his outstanding concluding remarks and wholeheartedly felicitated Tanvir Mokammel, Dr. Somali Saha, Prof. Anupama Vohra with certificates from iSPELL India as an appreciation gesture.
